4.29.08 – Half After 6

Tuesday, April 29, 2008
Wake Up Time: 6:30 AM
Blog Finished: 6:41 AM

I’m moving at insanely quick pace and believe I should slow it down. I will keep this 6:30 slot for the next two days before I keep my progression. Yesterday I went to sleep a little too late but got up just fine. I didn’t do much exercise aside from thirty minutes of hurdles and sprints. I don’t have any exercise planned for today, but I may run depending on how the day goes tomorrow.

Hope you enjoy this blog. If you do, you may want to check out my blog on relaxation, Leisure Views.

4.28.08 – Progress Is Everywhere, New Blog Starts

Monday, April 28, 2008
Wake Up Time: 6:40 AM
Blog Finished: 6:47

That’s right, another five minutes back. I ran half a mile, walked and did push-ups. I felt amazing after the day was done and still feel amazing now writing the blog. Even though I know today will be a ton of work, I am motivated beyond belief to get to tonight.

On a different note, I’ve started a blog on relaxation. This one will be more written work and hope you enjoy!

4.27.08 – A Step Forward

Sunday, April 27, 2008
Wake Up Time: 6:45 AM
Blog Finished: 6:59 AM

Last night I decided it was an educated to decision to take baby steps toward my goal. After setting the base of my pyramid in the last two days, I set my new alarm clock to 6:45. Surprisingly enough, I did feel a little bit of fatigue when I woke up. It’s okay though, as I turned off the alarm and went out of my room within the minute. Tennis early in the morning was my single exercise activity yesterday and hopefully that will improve today. Fell asleep somewhere around 11 o’clock which I feel is way too late. I’m doing unbelievably with the prospect of waking up and believe that keeping this up is very possible.

4.26.08 – A Step Back

Saturday, April 26, 2008
Wake Up Time: 7:35 AM
Blog Finished: 7:47 AM

As soon as I got out of bed I checked if the alarm ever went off and I’m happy to know that it didn’t. Having a self alarm at 7:35 is not at all bad as I would have gotten up much later not on this plan. Sleeping was very easy for me. Playing basketball and sweating, playing baseball and pitching, and swimming for relaxation were three key helpers in getting me to sleep. It was all in all a great night, and morning, except for the slight slip on my alarm.

4.25.08 – Rise and Shine

Wake Up Time:
6:50 AM
Blog Finished: 7:24 AM

Today I woke up just fine at the crack of dawn…well not really more like 6:50. For me it’s a huge starting point itself. I woke up at feeling ready to start this blog, hyped with energy and enthusiasm. Getting up early is not a punishment, rather a reward. The sounds of birds chirping happily are incomparable to the cars that roam the streets during the middle of the day. Today was a day to be remembered for the ages, as today I woke up at 6:50 AM.

The Journey Starts Here

Daily Blog – Waking Up Early
Goal:
5:30 AM
Complete Goal By: May 31, 2008

This is a very good start to a long process of waking up early. My plan is to use this blog as a motivator. A reason to remember what I a fighting this mental battle against. I have wrote down a list of thoughts that might help along this mission. (Although this list is a great one, I can’t take credit for it as most of the ideas here are thanks to Zen Habits blogger Leo Babauta):

  • The quicker you wake up the less time you have to think about going back to sleep.
  • I kept an alarm clock far from my bed, which I plan to do from now until I achieve this first goal.
  • To be able to keep my general hygiene as high as it can possibly be.
  • Allow this goal to lead me to my next one, to run in the mornings.

Today was a great start to a long process, in which I would like to complete feeling about myself in a better way. I did believe waking up early was not the way to go for me, so I settled for late nights. This I now know is a disgusting approach, one that doesn’t have meaning on the way I live. Early risers are made and knowing that I feel compelled to step up to the plate and try my goal.
